Vegard is a cool retro sweater with a bold pattern and classic round neck which is finished in a skin-soft merino wool for comfort.
Design Notes:
Occasionally Dale of Norway dives head-first into a fantastically rich archive (abundant with some jaw-dropping and even corny designs!). One of those deep dives inspired them to make this fantastic big pattern sweater, a simultaneously fresh and retro piece. The classic Norwegian eight-petal rose, the cross known from the Setesdal and Cortina pattern, the lice pattern, 100% wool, all merged into a tantalizingly fresh sweater. There is a bit of the 50's and the 60's in this sweater’s straight and short silhouette. The design elements are amplified, the colors are bold. The Vegard sweater is loud-and-proud. “Vegard” is a Norse masculine given name meaning both “protection” and “home”. A suitable name for a warm jacket strongly rooted in Norwegian design history.
