Vilja is a fresh retro sweater with a trendy fit - a straight cut and slightly cropped length (but not too much). The classic round crewneck is finished in a soft wool for comfort.
Design Notes:
Occasionally Dale of Norway dives head-first into a fantastically rich archive (abundant with some jaw-dropping and even corny designs!). One of those deep dives inspired them to make this fantastic big pattern sweater, a simultaneously fresh and retro piece. The classic Norwegian eight-petal rose, the cross known from the Setesdal and Cortina pattern, the lice pattern, 100% wool, all merged into a tantalizingly fresh sweater. There is a bit of the 50's and the 60's in this sweater’s straight and short silhouette. The design elements are amplified, the colors are bold. The Vilja sweater is loud-and-proud. “Vilja” is a Nordic feminine given name meaning both “richness” and “grain”, but also “will”. The will to see things afresh.
