Details

Hannah has an easygoing, loose fit with T-sleeve construction for a comfortable, relaxed shape. Its substantial knit provides natural wool warmth, while the ribbed front placket and exposed pewter buttons add structure and definition. Available in sizes S–XL, this cozy cardigan works beautifully over a lightweight top or as a statement layer on chilly days.

Design Notes

Warm Vanilla Sugar, earthy Nutmeg, and soft Birch showcase the natural shades of undyed wool. Rather than relying on added color, Hannah lets the fiber's own tones create a rich, understated palette.

The design balances vintage character with contemporary proportions. Traditional Norwegian-made pewter buttons provide a distinctive finishing touch, while the chunky knit and relaxed silhouette give this heritage-inspired cardigan an inviting, lived-in feel.

History

Hannah's story began when a Dutch customer visited the Dale factory wearing an original Dale of Norway cardigan from 1978. The vintage sweater caught the attention of a Dale employee, who admired it so much that he wanted to buy it back, inspiring the revival of the design.

The updated cardigan was named Hannah after two people: the customer's granddaughter and the employee's daughter, who share the same name. It's a charming example of how a treasured piece of Norwegian knitwear can inspire a new generation.
